i like the winter months..   feck that yellow thing in the sky and the stupid heat it releases..

All in all we can moan about England all we like but we had a pretty good roll of the dice if we are honest! We could have been born into Pakistan, North Korea, Somalia, Afghanistan, Scotland etc.

The countryside

Living on the coast for me. I've never lived more than 1/2 mile away from the sea, and feel really out of place if I spend too long inland!:thumbs:

You'd just miss the grockle watching :D

Best bit of ireland? No cops hassling you out in the countryside, roam where ye like with dogs no bother

Best bit of england.... Not living there

It's not a competition (that you can win anyway :whistling: )

I like the countryside, freedom to live how I want (maybe less hunting rights but compared to other countries, pretty tidy) fish and chips in every village and the fact we are a speck on the map that has produced some of the finest human beings the world has seen. There is a lot to be proud of in the UK, it just gets overshadowed too often.

Only bit I can agree on is the fish and chips, its an hours drive to get decent fish and chips here, and 4hrs drive to lettershandoney derry for the best fish & chips in ireland

It's not until I moved abroad I fully realised what the UK has to offer.

  • Clean skies and no pollution - even in the big cities
  • High standard of living
  • The NHS
  • Clean, drinkable tap water
  • A good climate - believe it or not it has.

That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure I could think of others.

Interesting opinion, isn't there anything else that makes you want to stay?
