We still have a load of Harriers in mothballs and quite a few pilots, would not take long for them to get back up to speed. Then you can load those onto a heli carrier no problem.....

They wouldn't be needed Mike. The Eurofighters are more that a match for anything the Argies can put in the air & the apaches showed in Libya recently that they are capable enough to be deployed from carriers and engage ground targets, so they would be perfect in the role of supporting any ground troops.. Add to this the type 45 destroyer and a sub or two.. It's a no brainer IMO..

Malt the yank marines use the apache off carriers and assault. Ships as a matter of course it has replaced the harrier in all but a couple of situations , the harrier was a great asset in its day but has done its job

All those sheep on The Falklands must be afraid, eh Mal?

Malt, I read an autobiography about a guy (Mike Curtis) who fought in the Falklands and he was from Rhonnda Valley (Think that's how it's spelt!)....

They captured some argies and he heard a few of them speaking Welsh! He spoke to them and it turns out there's a welsh speaking community who live on the mainland Argentina, whose descendants hail from Wales.

He couldn't believe it, but after the war I think he went back and met a few of them
