the big chief 3,099 Posted May 2, 2012 Report Share Posted May 2, 2012 mine is 4 meter x 4 meter the bars are 6ft but i have a good pitch on my roof so its prety high in side of it the thing is them kennels are amazing I like them but the problem we had was there wasent a good air serculasion so it smelt like shite mine smells just fine get ya dog smell but other than that just fine Quote Link to post

the_stig 6,614 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Share Posted May 3, 2012 mine is 4 meter x 4 meter the bars are 6ft but i have a good pitch on my roof so its prety high in side of it the thing is them kennels are amazing I like them but the problem we had was there wasent a good air serculasion so it smelt like shite you have to clean em out now and again ... air circulation is easily overcome with a few vents in the right places .. mine is prety big so ther is enough air that goes round them only thing you have to keep on top is the drainage keep that clean and ya ok if you place air vents low to the floor at the front and high at the back -- i`ve got wire panels along the top back of mine with shutters on hinges with turn buttons so they can just drop down and be shut em up at night or in the winter /summer time thr open all the time --- used the same method on pigeon lofts and chicken sheds for years it does help .. if you`ve got air coming in thru the runs at the front put a wire section in at the back close to the roof all the way along 6-8 inchs deep by the length of the kennel the wood you take out make into shutters .. There just bolts mate I put it up in 2 hours And the panels aren't flimsy at all and u can build them too any shape u want was going too go for a wooden design but it was only turning out too be 500 cheaper it's not a cheap set up but should last for longer then my dogs lifetime Quote Link to post
