nothernlite 18,247 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Share Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) Not on the books at all i get subbied out to different jobs for different companys and the money is sh--e we are getting a third to what we were getting 3 years ago you must be one of the lucky ones Right so ye are on an agency or ye work for somebody like me i am not one of the lucky one's mate my rate's and price's aint what they were a few years ago but they are coming back and ive been lucky to keep going and keep lad's going,it's all about what ye put in a site agent's or contract manager's or even qs's xmas card mate Never are truer word said its all about backhanders and arse licking just now .And i dont work for a agency i work for well known and respected company who probally do there fair share of arse licking to So ye must be on the book's to them then or ye sub-contract to them and they send ye on job's and there's nothing wrong with back hander's mate and if laughing at somebody's shit joke's and pretending ye like them is arse licking so be it,if it keep's food on the table for my family and keep's my lad's in work so be it Aye agree you need to arse lick to get to where you are done it and probally still do it and how do you work out im on the books im self employed companys phone me with jobs so many thousands or hundreds of metres give me a price if i want it i take it if thats being a subbie well yeha im a subbie Edited April 25, 2012 by nothernlite Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I take my hat off to any small firms who are directly employing men at the moment as I bet many of the bosses are going without a little bit themselves to keep blokes in work so fair play to them......I wouldn't do it !! 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Piss easy to work 40/50/60 hours a week flat out up and down ladders, hop ups and scaffold while carting buckets of shit with you all day every day then slapping it on the walls.
