Its a callout ! I suppose i could let someone else do it and lose the land , do u have permission ? Or are you a keyboard hunter who doesnt know how to keep landowners happy

There's an R in this month so your ok

4 minutes on a rabbit haha........you really are billy bullshitter ain't you. Has your mates wheaten x caught any more red stags single handed.

I had a call last night to do a bit of pest control as you all know.

The permission ive got is quite new so i havent really been up there , its only 16acres and a bit hilly , in the phone call the landowner told me crops have been getting eaten , well when i got there and spoke to the guy he showed me what he meant i wouldnt exactly call them crops as it was basicly a huge allotment but the guy lives off his land so i suppose they are .

I started off from the yard and as soon as i got into the first field the dog was pulling like mad , i flicked the lamp on and there was rabbit everywhere , i singled one out and slipped the dog , 2 turns and one in the bag .

Walked up the field a bit more and the dog had another run but rabbit made it to cover . On the next field there was a few out so i stuck to the fence got above them and slipped the dog , this rabbit gave the dog a good run for about 4 minutes before he picked it up along the fence .

Next field was dead so i stopped for a smoke , i then made my way to the fields on the other side and got the dog another 2 runs , he took one out of its seat and one as it went under the fence bringing the total to 4 .

I called back to the land owner to have a quick chat and give him a rabbit , he was pleased with the result so happy days .

I walked the 3 miles home then in agony as ive hurt my foot and whilst i was crossing the yard to see the land owner i stood in a pothole and it started to play up again .

Not a bad night for the dog and a happy land owner , i may have to go back in a week or so but ill probably just walk around shining lamp to make it look like im doing a bit and keep it stocked for the winter

Cheers Trinder

surely if he felt the need to call you out he wouldn't be happy with 4 rabbits a week?? they'll be reproducing more than that, you'd just be scratching the surface!

....then again, with 4 minute runs the dog is probably too knackered to catch any more

I shared my night with you and you talk to me like a prick , and how the f**k can you say 4 minutes is bullshit . There is patches of cover and ferns everywhere when the dog is chasing it in and out it can happen . End of the day this is my first year hunting . Im done with this site too many idiots who like to try and belittle people .

Later dickheads

He did say for ABOUT 4mins, sometimes even 1min can seem a lot longer, I'm sure he didn't have a stop watch in his hand! Give the guy a break, glad you had fun mate,

don't envy his mrs if he can't tell the difference between 20 seconds and 4 minutes
