Wanted Help showing me the ropes!

New to the shooting world and really keen to get stuck in and make friends need someone to show me the rope ie rabbit hunting. I live near dorking and will travel. Got my first air rifle two days ago a smk xs 19 custom thought it would be a good one to start out! pellets using .22 5.5 crosman domed. Bought all from Surplustore Crawley. If any one can help I will travel I would be very grateful thanks guys !

would be good for you to find someone to go threw the basics for air rifle shooting buddy. some were to go and help you with target practice and setting the rifle up.

 

once your competent of being able to hit your target and shoot at a realistic range then get out hunting.

if you want to find a club speak with one of your local gun shops they would be able to point you in the right direction for a local air rifle club I would say join a field target one as they use animal targets at different ranges which would really help with hunting if you have no experience of stalking get out with a camera and take lots of pics as close as you can with a air rifle you need to be able to get within 30, 45 yards of your quarry this way you can practise your skills on public foot paths or on your local fields no need to get permission from land owners. You will be surprised how hard it is. One saying I was told when i was a boy was dont walk to look, look to walk. hope this is of some help.
