skycat 6,174
Sounds like ear mites: does it smell nasty? Get some Otex drops here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Petlife-Otodex-Veterinary-Eardrops-Pet/dp/B001GI9N9O/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1332157062&sr=1-1 First clean out ear with cotton wool dipped in warm salt water and squeeze excess water out: wipe round inside of ear to remove excess much: but DON'T poke cotton buds or anything else deep into the ear. Then put drops in ear. Hold ear shut and gently massage downwards into the bottom of the ear canal. You many have to repeat the process over a few days. And do both ears, even if only one appears to be infected. 3 Quote Link to post

lurcher2020 285
I pour almond oil in the ear and massage it then the next night cotton but it out works brilliant and fairly fast Quote Link to post
wippydoo 12
Almond oil or better still olive oil is great for cleaning ears but if there's mites there you need thornit. If you leave it you risk an aural haematoma and that needs an operation to sort out (aural resection) Quote Link to post
