Marvin 193
If it were the case of the owners dumping them, and we cant totally rule out that possibility. The Dyke House area of Hartlepool is amongst some of the highest levels of poverty stricken areas in the UK. There are a number of residents on this estate who are quite possibly 4th and 5th generation "CANT WORK, WONT WORK" families, that along with the ever growing drug induced population growth amongst their ranks, I wouldn't quite rule out the possibility that these pets were owned by scummers. That said, in favour of your comment on anti's, there are street's upon streets of houses awaiting demolition, a railway embankment and what i would see as a favoured target of the residents a mosque, so why go to the effort of digging up a school field ?? That has really gotten me thinking now
Moll. 1,793
Marv, Was there any pics of this ,independent witnesses ?''The HEADMISTRESS was Informed of this'' ?no kids witnessed this,or did they I tend not to believe everthing the .Rspca get into papers, although I will acknowledge there ARE some right Cnts that have accces to working animals.I will Refrain from calling them DOGMEN/hunters as anyone that would contemplate that, as an Option is not of that World...hopefully !!! My anti-media radar went up as soon as i read this. I now tend to look at things from the way organisations like the rpsca tend to bend truths. 1/ "Possibility one of the dogs was starved to death" = working lurchers can look underweight at the end of the season, especially once dead and the body starts to lose hydration! 2/ Cannot understand why on earth someone who did not care about the dogs would go to the trouble of wrapping them in blankets and burying them...much easier ways of disposing of an unwanted animal. These dogs could have died from neglect, but then again there are many other reasons why.....but they would not be half a juicy for the rspca to get loads more donations in, and more media attention about 'working dogs'. Be interesting to see if they make such a big media splash if the dogs deaths were found to be any other reason than neglect, i somehow think it wont.
RubyTex 1,957
Around that area as Marv says it's usually the can't work won't work brigade. Either way they need a good kicking just for leaving the dogs out in the open, had they abused them or not. In my opinion it's coincidental that they've both died around the same time if there has been no neglect but i'm keeping an open mind. matthews 88 77
don't discount the possibility that anti groups could have done this.....not saying it definitely was, but a patterdale and lurcher, quite obviously made to look like (or actually is) hunting dogs. But why would a hunter dump them on a school field? probably wouldn't I would say! i have heard many of so called dog men on this site saying if the dog dont work its useless.so i wouldnt be to quick to say it was antis prop more like a cruel dog man

What's stupid is leaving it in a public place where bairns can find it. As said it seems like the place is full of halfwits anyway and I reckon that's exactly what it is!!
