young border bitch on right, will be year old come beggining of november so hope to show her something by arse end of nxt season ready for the yr after as borders are dead slow starters

Not all borders are slow to enter, ive seen them go at 10months,same as any other breed,if the breeding is right they should enter early.

Think thats a Plummer/Frain Type myth about the borders mate.

Not into books or do i give a toss who wrote them, what im saying is i have seen borders work at an early age.I know they are pretty scarce on the ground but there is still good borders to be got.How many black terriers actually make the grade and i mean work to a high standard with the amount thats been bred, bet there is as many failures as borders percentage wise?

Here's two of mines - black dog is Nuttall bred and is 11 months old - he's as keen as you'll get - had to slow things down with this guy - keen to run before he could walk best sums him up!

The choc bitch came from Ireland worker to worker - she's 8 months - fiery wee thing that'll fly to it when the time comes!

Fingers crossed - and expecting good things from both this winter coming. All the best.
