undisputed 1,664
in the wake of the english cricketer convicted of fraud the question is this. Is there any area of sport that has any integrity left. We've had khan whinging about the judges in his last fight. There's been jocky's done for throwing races, funny bets on football and in the world of snooker, the world of athletics is riddled with cheats. Is there any integrity left in sport or is it all about the money?

tegater 789
On thl we have all sorts of threads slagging off police, politicians, sportsmen, dogmen, shooters, marines etc, etc, etc. I am starting to think that society has changed that much, that the bedrock of integrity, honesty, Christianity, professionalism, and family values just appear to be not that important in this day and age. As a parent I am on a constant battle to bring up my kids to have, and understand what it is like to have integrity. And not compromise themselves. The internet is probably one of the biggest influences in this day and age. Just look at some threads on here for example. As a society I sometimes wonder whether we are becoming completely dysfunctional. These young sportsmen and women live amongst us, and probably suffer some of the same temptations.

I know what your saying...do you think that integrity is a quintessential British thing then? I know there's always been cheats in every walk of life but there was always quick condemnation of it...now it just seems to be more acceptable.

There's no doubt that peoples concept of what family is, Everything is a commodity now to be discarded when problems pop up. We live in a throw away society now god knows what it's going to be like a couple of generations from now.
