Chaz 6
My youngster decided that feather was on the menu today for the first time, she has not shown any interst in feather since her early stock breaking days , but on the way back to the van today she spotted three mallard ducks in the silage clamp well I didn`t take any notice as like I say she had not taken any notice before but today well ..... Yes I know they are out of season  and if I see anymore in the future I will call her to heel but it was nice to see her catching something other than rabbits and next season mallard will definately be on the quarry list Quote Link to post

Lennard 10
It's a good and a bad thing...my dog started to catch ducks at night. I have a plastic bag with me always now  . I love watching the stalking technique but I don't like to waist them...I'm not too fond of cleaning and plucking ducks (yep...the urban ducks don't taste great and they are tough too).
