foxhound x greyhound

Recommended Posts

i had brother and sister hound crosses they were bedlington x whippet put to a english hound then crossed with an english hound once again, the bitch wasnt very gutsy, the dog was he wood guzzle a fox in no time and there noses were excellent, and they would hunt as far as the rest of the pack would most of the time the dog was up front, the dog didnt give any tongue but the bitch did,atb wf

Genuine question, mate; what was the reasoning for that cross ? I make it 1/8 Whippet, 1/8 Beddy and 3/4 Foxhound. Did you have a special purpose in mind ?

Cheers.

Alright lads after some advice if any of you dealt with similar, dogs had allergy flare up recently switched his food now his skin is getting better again 🤞 whilst his skin was bad he’s flapped his ears or scratched it and gave him self a aural hematoma  I’ve drained it once but over just over 24 hours it’s refilled anyone had a dog with this before? Atb 👍

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
