i had brother and sister hound crosses they were bedlington x whippet put to a english hound then crossed with an english hound once again,the bitch wasnt very gutsy,the dog was he wood guzzle a fox in no time and there noses were excellent,and they would hunt as far as the rest of the pack would most of the time the dog was up front,the dog didnt give any tongue but the bitch did,atb wf

 

Genuine question, mate; what was the reasoning for that cross ? I make it 1/8 Whippet, 1/8 Beddy and 3/4 Foxhound. Did you have a special purpose in mind ?

had one for about 4 years and killed a few hares before i bought him for fox

have to say i worked him hard would follow fox anywhere and never let me down

at end of dig only roared when he got bit and never when chasing he was a hard

dog to replace for catching ability never bred from him as was worried he might be a once off

might of been a mistake

i didnt breed them they were given to me to start up my own pack,i think the lad i got them from want a bit of speed in them,all his others were all sorts of hound crosses,cheers wf

I WANT THAT CROSS FOR NOSE, HARDNESS AS IN BIG MINK AND ALIKE AND OTHER STUFF LIKE FLUSHING TO GUNS AND STAMINA , BUT THATS WHY I AM ASKING I AM NO JUDGE OF BREEDING ETC

not sayin every one does just sayin this one my mate had wat was 1/2 foxhound 1/2 whippet grey it was a gd dog catch out but it just give mouth on fox

The only one I have seen speaks on things when it misses then
