newcomer88 86 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 My new first little terrier bitch was PTS Saturday morning after being on a drip for 24 hours brought home and nursed wouldn't eat had to surringe food into her , just couldn't keep it down , out at both ends , Wednesday she went off her food in morning came home grime work misses thought something was wrong with pup wouldn't leave the kennel I could see she was wrong took her straight to the vet and this was the outcome .... Gutted just didn't know what it was , this happened to any of you before , vet said either ate something or infection all other dogs are fine she was only 10 weeks Quote Link to post

raynardman 519 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 Sorry to hear your bad news, I had a english bull that ate a dead starling, ate his food that day but went off it the next, went down hill that day so called the vet out, he said it was gastroenteritis and and injected through a vein in his front leg to by-pass his stomach, said if he pulls through the night he'll be OK, he was gone within 3 hours. newcomer88 86 Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 Yeah the two staffs that live indoors are well up on everything , my lurcher she was kennelled with is just due a booster , not sure if it was parvovirus think it was more gastroenteritis to be honest she had her first jab on Monday but shed been kept outside before god knows , luckily at my vets they give four weeks free insurance , when you get first jab or I'd of been 600 pound .down aswell , gutted tho was hoping she was gona be a cracker , it was Quote Link to post

I would always inject bitch about 2weeks before she due for parvo,keeps the pups safe until there 8weeks old then do the pups,also do the bitch for worms,in saying that i have'nt bred a litter of pups in about 10year,last litter was labs. 1 Quote Link to post
