brambles 3,400
Had an old lurcher bitch years ago that would have faced Golioth but come to fireworks she would lie curled up and sleep soundly in the BATH only place she seemed to feel safe anywhere else she would pace around whining and really looking petrified Quote Link to post
skycat 6,174
Get one of these CDs (bit late now for fireworks night though) . I've found it really helps to desensitise dogs. I've got a couple of dogs which are terrified, but each year for around a fortnight before fireworks night I play it several times a day, and more importantly in the evening (dogs seem to be more frightened by night time bangs). I start off quietly for a week, then gradually increase the volume. OK, it doesn't replicate the shock wave which goes through the air when a real firework goes off, but seems to help get them used to the noises all the same. http://www.soundtherapy4pets.com/ Quote Link to post
