Yeah I know a man who is also old school and he swears by it, I surpose back then they had little in the way of treatments that are available to us today, they had to make do with whatever worked for them. Ringworm being a fungus dies when suffocated and when smothered with a thick engine oil then dies. It works too. Mind you, a vet would probably disagree. There's more money in medicine.
