Tiny 7 1,694 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 i dont think there need be a third person lamping for you,,, just lamp your own,,, your then the judge of what rabbit to run................of course some folk will miss out perfectly runnable rabbits being a judge in 2 previouse lamping comps, has tought me that,,,, Thats what i was about to say each have there own lamp and lamp there own rabbits (Hate it when someone eles is lamping everyone got there own style of lamping), And 15 rabbits most people wont travle any real sort of distance for that, But if your after a match im sure you'll get plenty of people intrested £250 is a good pay out but i think things tend to go tits up when moneys involed and more hassel than its worth, 1 Quote Link to post

TOMO 29,212 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 thats quite true celt,, i have seen it happen in the comp, and your right a third party would be good,,, but trying to organise an extra person whos willing to travel and drop evrything to ref,, can be a problem especialy if there a stranger. a thread comes on like this,, and shure people want to be involved, either running a dog or reffing sounds good watching 2 good dogs running each other.....but after a few days and its old news on here, people arnt so cean......dogs injured,, im at work,, weathers poor, my cars broke,,,iant got a car youl have to fetch me.. my dogs got over its injury wait a month til its fit,,, ideal world,, 2 men 2 dogs a reff,,, yes......but its not an ideal world,, and with £250 ridding on it Quote Link to post

LAZYBSTARD 225 Posted October 29, 2011 Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 Match cant really happen like that 15 slips and you choose if you want the run or not.There have be someone to do lamp and he tells you slip or not and would have to be set time for 9 pm to 1 pm and most rabbits caught wins.And one doing lamp cant know either off you so its fair.Does not really matter whos land it is. have 2 agree with iceman there should be a third person doing the lamp and he will say slip when he thinks every slip is fair and ud have 2 lamp for at least 3 hours 2 see which is the better dog on the nite i would match any 1 with my bitch so would i have you been telling me porkies Quote Link to post
