dougie_s410k 1
Right I went to order a box the other day and found out the company I used previous was no longer going I thought why not give a box a try as I had a day off... Never made anything like this before or to be honest never made anything since school :-)... Ended up with this one last night measures 24" x 9.5" x 10.5"........ And bitten by the bug I decided to try another today but a double box! Not yet finished but heres a little pic... Your thoughts would be appreciated Quote Link to post

old timer123 367
not bad few more holes would be good plenty of fresh air for your little trojans would be nice big thumbs up bud Quote Link to post
AndyKelly 251
great box but agree you need more or bigger airholes to let more air in matey the ferrets need a good waft of cool air to chill em down Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
Identical to the one I made but I made it out of mdf and it fell apart lol. I'm a DIY disaster. Nice box Quote Link to post
seany 54
nice box mate where do you source your ply from? I bought some for a bench top the other week only the white finished stuff £24 inc VAT ATB Seany Quote Link to post
dougie_s410k 1
Cheers for the comments so far good points about the air holes I just followed the amount/width of the ones I have on other boxes. I source my ply from Wickes and they price match so get it super cheap but Topps Tiles are going to start doing it soon 9mm and 15mm although this is 12mm. I just bought a couple of sheets that I sorted through in Wickes and I get one box from one 1200x600 sheet. Quote Link to post

dougie_s410k 1
Believe it or not there suprisingly light and fit across the back realy well. I have a couple of Bow backs and dont get on too well with the space when out ferreting for long periods and these have alot of space inside, hopefully they do the job well Quote Link to post
Leeview 791
not bad few more holes would be good plenty of fresh air for your little trojans would be nice big thumbs up bud great box but agree you need more or bigger airholes to let more air in matey the ferrets need a good waft of cool air to chill em down more or bigger holes ? that may be OK for early season ferreting trips but come Dec/Jan/Feb its going to be letting freezing cold air in when your ferrets need to be kept warm Do you drive with the windows down right through the winter? I know I dont Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
