kenny14 656
As I said, when I looked into it, the ammount of people who'd had buyers ripping them off was unbelievable. And no matter what proof you have, ebay invariably sides with the buyer in any dispute. ebay is a f**king joke! unless of course you're a rip-off merchant out to make some easy money. Many of the victims described it as 'legal' theft!!

Qbgrey 4,369
just wait til hes selling summat then do the same to that kunt some twat sold my lad a fake stone island jacket a few year ago -- i set up an account and i bid all his gear sky high 50 odd items and closed the account .. lol classic good idea, its the people that ask for phone no then ring on withheld no,or they call and ask questions that are all wrote on listing, but the most annoying is people who want to view it and buy it 2hrs before auction ends.i tell em its too late but if they offered me that at start id of sold to em,they look on thier faces. Plong 21
Once had a buyer saying an item was missing out of the parcel I sent, paypal refunded him even though I had postage receipt with weight on it that proved all 3 items where in the parcel. Had another guy buy a new telescopic fishing rod off me and claimed it had been used so I said return it for a refund, instead he opened a paypal dispute a few days later. After a couple of weeks paypal found on his side and he sent the rod back, when it came back it was clear it had been used by him. He must have just wanted it to take on holiday. Spoke to another guy who sells boats and outboards, he sold a £600 outboard to some easten europeans which he was going to get shipped to their country. They turned up in a van next day and collected it then opened a paypal dispute a couple of weeks later saying they had not received it and got a refund.

mangy1983 51
In the days when sellers could leave negative feedback to buyers l had a bad experience from a seller called "pcwhizzkid" or something similar. This guy was selling an item he didn't even have, a canon printer. After a week of the printer not arriving l emailed him for an explanation and he told me he was having trouble sourcing one for the price l had bought mine for. After that l sent him an email once or twice a week up until just before the paypal claim limit and all emails were ignored. I opened a claim with paypal and left the seller negative feedback to which he very quickly left me a negative back and was also quick to email me saying that he would lift his negative feedback if l lifted mine. I always check a sellers feedback before l purchase anything and the seller had a respectable 99.3% feedback on 300 transactions when l initially made my purchase. This had dropped to around the 96% mark when l had left my negative feedback. I sifted through his most recent negative feedbacks and then checked on the feedback that he had left the sellers and guess what they also had been left negative feedback! I got in touch with these sellers explained what he had done to me and the got in touch back saying that he had pulled the same stunt on them. I phoned ebay and explained to them what had happened and they restored my unblemished record to what it was and promptly kicked him off ebay. Although l did mention to ebay the plight of the other ebay buyers they were not in the least bit interested and said that if they wanted their negative feedback lifted they would have to phone themselves which l pm'd them to do so. I am also a seller but only on small items that are less than a pound so that l can get £0 insertion fees cheers Callum
