Marksman 934
cracking shooting.... I'm fascinated at the POI at the different ranges...theyre all on the centre dot, no holdover/under needed! Darryl 1 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Darryl, Yeah they seem that way Darryl bud, but if you was to do what i did and slowed the footage down to 10% frame by frame when editing you would see that some of the longer shots did have hold over you just cant see it due to the poor quality in normal speed mate. Also just like the other scope mag thread in the review section the Pulsar is only set to x 4.5 mag so hold over looks negligble t say the least. One of them shots towards the end which was taken with a sub 12 FP .177 Theobem MFR was further than 50 yards so Eddie told me. Si. Hi Bill cheers buddy for the comments. gurtwurz 793
some great shooting there, shame it couldnt go on the film. them rapids are cracking guns(although butt ugly)... i actually managed to get round to sorting mine this week(its only been 18 months...), and zeroed it this morning- just in time for yet another micro squall to hit the south downs... bloody typical... cheers, wurz 1 Quote Link to post

eddiej35 10
Hi Si , Great viewing that was mate and thanks for putting that up for me. The quality was rubbish on my part as it was only my second time out with the unit. I did shoot a few of those standing and to be honest the weight was pretty bad after a while . Its hard to focus and set the contrast up for every shot when your in a lit up area and trying to hold it steady . Also as i was using the Yukon recorder it is only good enough for pc viewing as the resolution size is small. Saying that i would definately recomend this unit as i had great fun shooting them. As you did see most of the shots didnt seem to take any holdover , i put this down to the unit sitting high over the barrel and so it seemed to carry more. I will confess i did take one at 70 yards and only gave it a tiny bit of holdover. I did think it was only about 45 -50 yards away but when i went to find it i realised it was alot further . I wouldnt do that on a regular basis and to be honest i have stuck to sniping them since . Dom i was shooting a .177 although i would like to try a .25 FAC at some point. Thanks for the coments guys and i hope me and Si can get some good footage when he comes down for a play . Cheers Eddie. Quote Link to post

I have been played up a good few times on here and off pals for shooting a so called Girly Calibre .177 . nice to see a .177 calibre in good hands doing a job they're more than cappable of doing. I zeroed my Ranger in long ago with FTT's at around 40yds'ish, I can still put the shots in the box out to 55 no problem without any holdover, one of the joys of the .177 calibre . atb Jasp Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,589
Great shooting from Eddie there Si. He really knows his fieldcraft to back it up too. I love watching a chap who takes a pride in his shooting, put it all to work. Serious hunting kit those Rapids too! Actually it's not a bad bit of film from a quality perspective. But you know what you want All the best with the productions. Simon Edited October 9, 2011 by pianoman Quote Link to post

eddiej35 10
Thanks for the kind comment guys . The quality of the Vid would be alot less grainy if you have no lights around you. That was the only fault i found when recording. If i was in total darkness it would have been so much clearer . When recording in daylight it is also alot better if the sun is behind cloud cover , you get glare from the sun shining on the grass infront of you if your shooting with a bi-pod. Quote Link to post
chris k 205
shame it coudnt be added. bloody good shooting that. Quote Link to post
