well i had a good night planed, would of bein the 1st proper night of the season, was looking forward all day to the night out with the lamp and bitch, would of being her start of the second season, 5 past 6 put the lead on the lurcher shouted of the springer, and off we went for a short walk round the fields, let the lurcher off she had a bit play with the springer, then saw her run down to the gap to go round to the next field like she dose 4 time's a day, walked round with the springer following, looked for the lurcher could not see her so shouted still no sign looked over to the park, not there, looks down and there she was, leaped across to her, thought she was having a fit pushed her head down told her to carm down, she took a big breath then one more looked at her eye's and i could tell she was gone, picked her up to take her home and i could tell what she had done,

I know we take risks every time we work our dogs and anything can happen at any time, But of all the places for her to die seen as she go's the same way every day has got me shocked!

This is the second dog i've lost this year, the 1st one i new i had to PTS

I keep telling myself she never went out in any pain and was a fast death,, so what can i do but move on get a new pup in

RIP to my best mate TESS was a good bitch and coming on well 10 days shy off 19month , sick as f**k

Sorry to hear that pal.. :(

I know it sounds harsh, but the best thing you could do would be to get a new pup in. My mate lost his promising young dog a few seasons back and he was absolutely gutted. He was advised to get another as quick as he could, he did, and he later reckoned it was the best thing he could have done, even though he was in two minds at the time he got the new pup.

she broke her neck! all i can think of is she missed placed her footing, her heads went down and she's fliped over onto the bank!

but it's still hard to take in as i've seen her roll over many a time lamping and running day time after gear, she was a do or die dog, hart in mouth every run, it was unreal seeing her run!

I know what your saying mate, everyone's told me to do it and tbh i think it's the only thing i can do, might sound a bit soft saying this like but it's the springer i feel sorry for as shes lost her mother and best mate, poor little bitch was running along side me jumping up at Tess licking her!
