RicW 67
Sand down to bare metal and respray. Any solvent that will strip the glue will strip the paint as well. If you just paint over it the glue will bleed through the new paint. Life can be a bitch . . . Edited July 1, 2011 by RicW

Foxgun Tom 75
im removing sign writing off a van but the glue left behind is a b*****d to get off , petrol and alchol isnt working. any ideas? Depending what the adhesive is? Metheylated spirits, white spirit, turps subsitute, even surgical spirit can sometimes do the job? BQ sell a range of de-greasers and adhesive removers, remember its important to try a small area at a time Tom
Baghdadnights 150
Brake cleaner is the best I've used to remove the glue you can get from most automotive parts places buy a can not the aerosol so you can just pour it on a rag.

boyo 1,398
the best and easiest way it will fly it off is thinners and tbh without much effort as well use it all the time in the car trade also great for removing tar from your car . just give it a quick polish afterwards to get the thinners off works a treat.
