Blue one 89
double click for full screen view I was impressed with that. apparently, the gazzels are dropped? the saluki's in the front of them courses, were good. was also impressed with the ground they ran on, ok, it was a desert, with no fences ect, but if you look closely, their was a lot of stone/rock, not just sand! it would be a dream to own won from that breeding, but, would they do well, over here in the uk and ireland.? thanks for putting that clip up. Blue one 89
one of the dogs cocks in this one Id say, if they did not have them 4 x 4's to keep up with the saluki's, they would not get them back. they go on for miles. Quote Link to post

TAXI DRIVER 549
Some good dogs there.Great vid Quote Link to post
skycat 6,174
Thanks for putting that vid on. Really enjoyed it, but I couldn't help wondering if they'd catch a gazelle so easily if it hadn't been dropped: true wild ones would surely be a different proposition. Ditto the hares: I remember seeing a vid of loads of hares in a big compound: presumably they drop them in the same way out in the desert. Quote Link to post

They seem to take a long time to get to them, as they were dropped and not in their own environment, i would of thought, they would be easier to catch? as i was saying before, if them arabs did not have them 4 x 4's to keep up with them, they would be gone! P ,I think the problem with gazelles is getting near enough to slip on them, there's no cover to take advantage of. There are single handed gazelle courses on You tube ,which seem to be marathons run at a very fast pace ,extremely impressive. Edited June 16, 2011 by inan Quote Link to post
miles 227
This is not filmed in the Middle East but on a trip to Africa( probably Ethiopia) were most of the Hunting is done( by the rich Arabs anyway ) due to lack of game and bans , you see them getting off the ferry and being greeted by one of the locals. These Gazelle are wild and not dropped. Quote Link to post
