iceman001979 1,316
Coming up to the season we run the dogs behind the car every night works out about 6 mile. During the summer just few long walks over the mountain and few swims. Do people change there dogs diet during the summer protein ways????? Quote Link to post
rolysmate 49
I"ve allways liked my dogs to lose a bit of condition through the summer months as I think the rest allows the body to heal those little niggles that your probably not even aware of and then start to bring them back up at the end of summer Quote Link to post
Guest born to run1083
I"ve allways liked my dogs to lose a bit of condition through the summer months as I think the rest allows the body to heal those little niggles that your probably not even aware of and then start to bring them back up at the end of summer Think that's the best way all top athaletes can't be at the top of there performance all year round instead they control when they do peak , I adapt the same with dogs. Cut the excercise down a little through most of the summer then build back up towards end for winter and get them to peak in the first few weeks into start of season Quote Link to post
rocky1 942
good diet, plenty of exercise ie roadwalking ,freerunning ,mountainbikeing ,swimming, working, ,most important rest afterwards Quote Link to post
Cold Ethyl 63
Consistency here they get walked the same everyday unless something really important arises or something drastic happens. If they do the same everyday no matter how much you see results Quote Link to post
