yes add some collie to them..... the disadvantage would not be the hevier coat that baw said,,, the dissadvantage would be going home empty handed

, To prevent injuries while hunting in the harsh desert, the dog handlers apply henna or nut oil to harden the dogs' feet.

LMAO! they want to kill gazelles not herd them up!

'the dog will take the slowest one. It's treating the game like vermin'

Thats from a trophy hunter, it's not treating the game as vermin but natural selection. Shooting just takes out the healthy ones!?!?!?

Shooting takes out whichever you aim at,so a shooter that is looking after his ground will not take out the strong/healthy ones mate......sorry but we aren't all the same, and before you go on about us and them,I laso run a dog as well as shoot.

The coldwater thing definately has value  end of this season a mate of mines little bitch put her tendon out running, was awful toes all over, joint swinging etc, real gut churner, taken too vet told to give metacalm and rest bitch, spoke to a lad who advised us to hose pipe the ankle foot etc for 10 mins or so three times a day for a month, secdond month short walks stand in river or sea again colder the better.

the lad set away doing just so, kept the bitch caged, he then takes her too a boneman, who takes a look says same as vet but lad tells him about water treatment, he says spot on you been well advised. Lad acrries on same way, then sees another fella about problem, he says fookin ell lad she lookin well as it was only two week back, lad tells him what he been doing, fella tells him again best advice, likely saved any longterm damage, fella then pops on a lazer/ultrasound thing and scans the area lad was gobsmaked toes drew back in place slowly, fella says you saved yourself several sessions lad.

The bitch is making a great recovery, back in kennel, but he airinf=g onside of caution and resting her for twice the time rcommended, why not its summer, thr water treatment definately played its part, reduces swelling, well worth remembering

So do I, I go deer stalking and rough/pigeon shooting. If you are paying for the day you want to go for the best trophy, the same as the trophy hunters that quoted on the site they are paying to shoot the best beasts.

You never get to see the dogs feet after these runs though, for all we know they could be laid up for 6 weeks recovering!!!

Exactly mate.... They probably take the dog behind there tent and shoot it!!! No rivers you see..... But the videos do give the saluki boys over here a wee glimpse of what there type of dog was capable of many generations ago...
