What premiership team did they play for

Schmichael , neville , Adams , Carvalleo , Pearce , Pires , Keane , Gerrard , Beckham , Bergkamp , Henry . subs Seaman , zola , vieira , shearer , keown , cantona .

f**k off Martin Keown on the bench :icon_eek: ....i admire your loyalty, but come on

Keown as a defender wasnt pretty on the eye maybe and not a footballin centre half, but as an out and out defender he was BRILLIANT , shearer van nistelroy fowler have all said he was a nightmare to play against, though its just my opinion , 1 thing i will say John Terry is not the top player people thought now he has no Carvalleo to cover his back

Since when did Bob Latchford play in the premiership  ....if we,re going back beyond 92 then i,ll go with the entire West Ham side of the late 60,s....and Billy Bonds :D

Thats your opinion and your entitled to it.....without doubt he must have been a pain in the arse to play against, but he wasnt a footballer just merely a stopper.....id even put David O Leary above Keown and he certainly wouldnt stand a chance in an Arsenal team today.....he was nowhere near the complete player the likes of Terry,Ferdinand,Vidic are....and no real threat up the other end like todays centre halfs are.

Wouldnt agree with your thoughts about Terry either.....like many other players his better days are probably behind him simple as that regardless of Carvalho

Thats my point Gnash , a defender 1st and foremost is there to defend , like you say a stopper and by feck he could stop em .... Ferdinand is a classy centre half but as an out and out defender not as good as Keown , as cloughie once said to a striker he paid a lot off money for who went to take a corner "young man i didnt pay millions for you to take corners , now get in the box" and thats my way of lookin at it , i want a defender to do just that , and as for not gettin in Arsenals team today  me and you wouldnt be out off place in that back 4 :whistling:

We,re too good for that back 4 !.....could be the undoing of them tomorrow as well sadly....

No you make some fair points about Keown i just dont think he had the speed, intelligence, agility or ability of the Terrys and Ferdinands.....but for sure he would out muscle, and probably frighten the life out of them :D

yes if you go befor, 92 then all the goalkeepers would be binned,, gorden Banks , ray clemence, peter shilton, peter boneti,

Dont forget our Phil Parkes in there :D ....and i suppose Pat Jennings,Neville Southall,Corrigan etc werent too shabby either.

If im not wrong Jennings scored when he played for Spurs.....the olduns always used to talk about Bert Trautman,Jack Kelsey......worldwide i supposed Dino Zoff and Sepp Mayer have to be up there.....or the german who nearly decapitated the french lad,i forget his name now, looked like a german porn star !

Lev Yashins a good call the ol fella used to talk about him, played ice hockey before becoming a keeper apparently.
