markha 99 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Share Posted February 23, 2011 If I wanted the law to change, so that ownership of any kind of gun was illegal and I was an oddball anti-hunting, anti gun ownership, Or i was part of a fanatical 5th column within the anti gun brigade, and some person offered me some incentives to stir up the situation, then I might just take to the streets with an air pistol and create a bit of mayhem before slipping back in to the crowd. Especially since the debate still continues to devolve airgun laws to Scottish parliament Basically, shit does happen in some very strange ways, I wander who the police will catch or scape goat, or worse still, never catch and hence adding more weight to the case of tighter controls on airguns. Screaming mums, angry teachers, pressure on local councillors and then MP's, The Scottish Parliament may well want blood on this one and a call for all airguns to be banned. Or the press will mute the story down as those higher in the government who are pro hunting etc put a 'D' notice on the press and it all goes quietly away...wishfull thinking on that one perhaps.
