Simoman 110
Just wondered with all the traveller threads, who really fancies a travellers lifestyle, and i don't mean the modern day settled council run sites, but either a horse drawn vardo, a converted bus or similar. Personally the romantic idea of travelling remote areas of Britain, perhaps Europe and sitting outside around an open fire on a summer evening, fishing, letting your dog catch your game. Although real life gets in the way with mortgages, jobs, money and responsibilities..........

My mate went travelling around Australia a few years back and lasted 9 months. Open roads, bright blue skies, bbq's on the beach every other night and amazing wildlife yet still said enoughs enough...

CarraghsGem 92
everytime i consider getting a divorce i start to dwell on this idea, me and the dogs travelling around europe catching our own food etc.... then reality kicks in, ie; money matters, theres some necessitys that you have to have money in your pocket for
Ali-G 1
I often wish we could go back to a more gentle, unhurried lifestyle. We've lost so much over the years to materialism etc. I reckon that kind of lifestyle would be hard in the winter though - so maybe a cabin somewhere rather than a caravan/mobile home! Ali, your right, one of the reasons i love Lincolnshire is because the way of life seems slower....

Born Hunter 17,960
A week or two at a time in a landrover would suit me. Roof rack tent, dogs and gear in the back with plenty of jerry cans of diesel. Open fire every night with the dogs chained to the landy to let me know of any unwanted nocternal visitors, fish for breaky, game for tea. Meet up with friends for the odd day. Explore all corners of this great island and then explore Ireland. Whether thats a traveller/gypsy or just an explorer/free spirit I dunno, but Its something I have to do! And if I dont do it soon, lifes shitty commitments are gonna bog me down.

The way of life is that slow down here, it would appear to go backwards!
