Well, mid-day today was brilliant, clear frosty sunshine and so, went over to my permission with the HW77 .22 scoped up with a trusty Bushnell Banner 6-18X50 and a plentyful supply of H&N Field an

Thanks indeed Bill.

I must confess.. I do talk to my rifle when I'm pulling off great shots with it or, when I miss, it's like "Aww come on, we are so much bloody better than this!"

Cheers mate

By far the most enjoyable read I have had on a Forum in a long time, Would honestly love to read more stories and would be first inline for a book. Very well written indeed. Had to read it again! And let the father in law have a gander who is off to the gun shop tomz. after a springer.

Many thanks

The 77 is the daddy

You are absolutely right JD I really believe the HW77 is truly the daddy of em all. When Weihrauch wanted to introduce a new underlever into their range, they just took the HW77 metalwork and internals and redefined them with a shortened barrel, redesigned the underlever latch-up with a silencer and gave it a new stock and called it the HW97.

It's still the HW77 in another suit.
