fat man 4,741 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 a friend of mine went to check on his boat during the hard frost he has it on a lake 2half mile long by 1half mile wide theres an island bout half mile out from 1 shore and he spotted a fox heading back to shore from the island on the ice this is the first time the lake ever froze over that i can remember and also a first to hear off a fox on the island this lake goes to 40ft in places Quote Link to post
Penda 3,355 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 ive saw foxes crossing icey lakes when there froze solid the need to feed drives them to places you wouldnt usaually expect them, wasnt there an article in the sun a few years back where a woman saw a family of foxes living high up in a tree in london somewhere might not be london though but there was defonatley an article on this Quote Link to post

JR Yipp 111 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 many foxes live in trees, not unusual at all. in lime trees they will have litters. a fox will live where ever they feel safest and are opportunists... clearly in your area they are safe in trees so id start looking and not worry about books. as for fox on lake, i think foxes are just very good a poking around and taking opportunities when they present themselves.its amazing where they do get. marky r 25 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 they cub were ever they feel safe i think the fear off humans with urban foxes has dissapeared and if they can have cubs or live near us with out being hasseld they will do so afetrall it benefits them with all the free food about.
