You sounded just like my hubby when you said that about eating them. He winds me up by picking up Hinge, my favourite hen and squeezing her leg, saying " there's plenty good eating on that " He's all :whistling: and i'm all :angry2::boxing:

Lucky for him i know he's joking

I got rid of my chooks now but the hens would let the sparrows and dimmocks feed along side them but my cockrel would try to kill them and did so many times .

Would that be the Charlie Dimmocks......lucky fella if you've got her running round your garden.

It's the other way round here, Kay.

I let the dogs out one day, a few weeks ago. After about half an hour i could hear Pob, the old lurcher, yipping indignantly. When i went outside to see what was wrong i found both dogs corralled into a corner by the five bar gate. Moomin the springer was quaking in terror behind Pob, and Hector the cockerel was strutting up and down in front of them with his chest stuck out, stamping his feet, and giving them the wing of doom. He's such an arse, that bird. But he does make me laugh.
