Guest Frank
Myself and my son, went for just an hour today, to show him whats it all about. He is only 5 and enjoyed himself a lot, his first time out ferreting and he wanted to stay longer, but i want to keep him eager. Just got the 3, but as i said, i did not want him to get bored. Great hour out learning, but, mum ( wife) was not happy at all when we got back and she had found out where we had been , she said that the other kids in school will take the piss out of him if they find out. Who cares, we both loved it But, dont know if i can get away with taking him again, aparently, its best to wait till his 12 , according to Mrs wife. Pics below of our hour together. Frank. Guest craftycarper
What a load of old cobblers, wish my old man had taken me out with the stinkers. Would she say the same if you took him fishing, i doubt it. Enjoy what time you have together mate because believe it or not it flies by and before you know it they're out and about with birds and getting up to all sorts of nonsense. On the other hand the missus should be a little more grateful as it gives her time to chill out, put feet up (and get the dinner on) ha ..ha, crikey it's a no win situation Frank...you go out for a few hours and you get it in the neck for not being around the house, you take the nipper thinking she can't knock me for leaving him under her feet all day and you still cop it in the neck.. gaz 284
hey frank,we know who wears the troosers in that hoose mate, get your foot down mate and let her know about the education side of hunting, respect for the countryside ect and also remind the good lady about the other darker roads that too many youths go down these days taught correctly by a good outdoorsman, can be good for the young uns, learns them respect for the world around them and should make a better person of them as they mature into adults, but on the other hand she might just tell you to stop your gibbering!!!just like my own good lady would Edited January 6, 2007 by gaz Quote Link to post

You are correct about who wears the pants in my castle. It also sounds that my Mrs has some things in common with yours. Time will tell, but i wont leave it yet, a bit like a ferret with a rabbit lets say. Frank. Quote Link to post
