Never sell your home in the UK.... your having a laugh, for many families/couples theyd never get to own a place in the UK (but yes good advice for those that do or perhaps rather the bank do). & as for moving abroad to be with your own kind, well isnt that exactly what many immigrant do in the UK and what everyone hates about them?

Nah, dont see the point of buying a house elsewhere, and surrounded by the same kind... I think the whole thing about going abroad is changing your lifestyle.. As you'll get bored of sitting in the sun 200 days of the year, never mind 365... I would anyway, like to be doing things..

You say that, but some of us are not thinking of moving to indulge in a different lifestyle...im perfectly happy with the lifestyle ive got now im just sick of being a foreigner in my own country...i can cope with the weather,i can cope with the life....i just cant cope with sharing with people i detest !

So if im moving abroad i want to be surrounded by my own kind in nice surroundings,if i want a different culture i might as well stay here !...ive already had to move away from an area i loved....if im going to move away from a country i love its not a decision im taking lightly or getting pleasure from having to make !

yes it is good advice especially if you buy in a cheap country where the exchange rate is bad as even if as you say the bank own your house by this i assume you mean a mortgage ,you will make money renting the house and after x amount of years own the house and then have either a great deal of money when you sell or a very good wage coming in of the rent.

and as it stands we have the biggest housing shortage in the northern hemesphere with on average the population expanding 25 thousand a year houses will defo go through the roof again al be it not for another few years but the prices will rocket again.

I can believe it....im over the opposite side but i chose to move away but still have buiseness/family/friends there so its a place i frequent regularly....Hounslow is not England anymore as are many of the places on the fringes of London, the contrast between somewhere like Byfleet or Sunbury and Hounslow is unbelievable...extreme wealth to extreme shit within 5 miles !.....the shit is overspilling from the big cities,i mean how far can you run before you start to believe a complete move away is possibly best....

Theres a big difference between going somewhere you are welcomed, where you are adding to the economy, where your cultures are the same.....and going somewhere that you are becoming a lifelong ponce living off that country amongst people who have nothing in common with and who dont want you there !

Kept my place in Sunbury when I left,as you said its huge chasm twixt Sunbury and Hounslow,I always wondered what cloud the politicians had their heads in,multi-culturalism?Nigerians prefer peckham as its nigerian enclave in London, likewise somalins nowdays prefer places like Southall because its turning into mini-mogadishu,Indians prefer Hounslow because its indian shops, streets, restaurants etc, like normally attracts like, the idyllic sounding mixed neighbourhood of sikh, muslim, christin, brahmin all coexisting happily side by side in the same street sounds like some sort of think-tank utopia, have to say most of my neighbours here are moro, glad I didnt burn my bridges, you never know when you need to retrace your steps.

Yes exactly right... We live in the country and dont see this kind of atmosphere.. It sounds like you need to move away from the area and find some where nice to live in england, as you

already have you home abroad as well...

The reason we bought our 2nd home(gran canaria) waS To get away from the way of life we were used to, and chill in another culture...In fact we are going there on friday, leaving this snow behind, cant wait...

Your missing the point mate.....i already moved to a fantastic area 10 years ago.....but i cant move my buisenesses, family and friends as well who all remain in an area i grew up in but now detest !

I dont want to live in a different culture i love my own culture....you do and thats fine......i dont think some folk appreciate the frustration others feel.
