dodger 3,589
They always print these articles in the same way, leading the public into thinking all lamping is illeagle, never never mention for every poacher theres someone with permission which obviously then makes it leagel to catch rabbits. Best thing to do i reckon is for all the lads with permission to get out the next black week, the authorities will think there on to a winner, how stupid n pissed off will they feel when all they get after there hard work is a permission slip waved infront of there face,n i bet they fail to mention that in there next article. Bosun11 537
For the past 20 years they have been having 'crackdowns'. Policies come and go, but the hunting gene isnt a temperorary thing. It will blow over, Dead right Mr Darcy, Cumbria police have always put the word out on their big crackdowns and the main reason why they make it so public is that in an area like Cumbria it is very difficult to locate and catch poachers, especially 'in the act', so in general it's a load of 'hot air'. Very much the main places they make any arrests are on the roads leading to the M6 junctions, of which there are few. Mind how you go... Quote Link to post

I agree with what you say about people bringin it on top in summer mate , but i think alot of the complaints about hunting along with what you said about early evening lamping also come in the way of some people lamping like a retard,ie lampin farms houses n roads up,using there lamp like a feckin lighthouse instead of gettin inbetween the rabbit n its escape route etc,if they cant lamp properly they should atleast get themselves a variable.
