Hob&Jill 258
I've just finsihed reading 'the man eating leopard of rudraprayag', its a brilliant book. What balls that man has . Just started reading 'man eaters of kumaon' looks like its going to be good. If you havent read either, you can pick them up for a couple of quid on amazon. Has anyone ready any of his other books? or know of any good books with a similar genre? atb, HJ

DIDO.1 22,864
When I was at primary school I read a book called The Gorilla Hunters by R.M Ballantyne. I bet the copy I read has been burned by now on a fire of political correctness! Ive just found a new copy off ebay and am just about to start reading it. I can also recommend The Shamba Raiders-Memories of a Game Warden by Bruce Kinloch. Its quite a good book telling the story of a game wardens life within living memory but in it he meets Karamojo Bell who was a great elephant hunter when africa was still an unknown quantity. Bell wrote Wanderings of an Elephant Hunter and the link between the two books is interesting as both men covered the same area but in different era's. Two books that I read time again. J Darcy 5,871
Just finished Capstick's "Sands of Silence". All about his quest for a good bull elephant in Namibnia. A good read. I have now just gopt "Maneaters" to read and will let you know if its as good as the others. One good book is the "Last of the elephant hunters" I would rcommend it!
