If there is too many brambles over a certain hole then lay a net over the run out of the brambles and wait close enough to pounce on it fairly quickly but dont stand directly infront of the holeor the rabbit wont bolt. I have netted a fair few rabbits that whould have otherwise been lost using this tactic. dont do it with nylon nets tho. try and use poly or hemp because nylon nets you will never get off the brambles in 1 piece. hope this helps. tommy.c 859 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) well after checking everything and taking all your advice it was me that forgot to lift the camera.. but so what, we had a great first day back! we ended the day with 14 rabbits, still plenty of cover which is to be expected at this time of year and still plenty of young about so we had a couple of digs, all the ferrets worked their we socks of and have to say well done to big.e his pup is 1 year old and got 4 out a 4 rabbits on the slip and it was his first time even seeing a rabbit :thumbs: So hopefully this is a good season for us!! i cant fecking wait to next week already lol..
