Night Hunter 109
Government response The Hunting Act was passed by Parliament in 2004. It has not been a demonstrable success, and is difficult to enforce. It is an unnecessary drain on police resources and there have been few prosecutions. Only three hunts have been successfully prosecuted for illegal hunting. That is why the Government wishes to give Parliament the opportunity to review the Hunting Act and, if it wishes, repeal this legislation. We will put forward a motion before the House of Commons on whether the Hunting Act should be repealed and, if the motion is carried, we will bring forward legislation in due course. Born Hunter 17,974
Oh yes it can How? There are currently a few very convienient 'loopholes', the police know this, the courts know this, the antis know this and we know this, if the act was reviewed do you honestly think that these loopholes would be left so as us naughty dog lads can abuse them still? gonetoearth 5,144
The very thought of a repeal this early will be suicide , this coalition can not decide on many things at the moment , the hunting act is fraught with loopholes , , labour got beat in the election what an opportunity for them to get back at the lib con coalition they will pull out all the stops to gain every vote and just imagine the lacs pr campaign , SLOWLY SLOWLY WE HAVE MADE SMALL INROADS WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC BUT IT IS TO SOON,
