teaching a pup to lamp

Recommended Posts

Lampings pretty easy for a dog to pick up my self i tend to take the younger dogs out with an older dog with more experience and for the 1st few times i like to let them watch when i do start i think its best that you only give them a couple of easy slips on there own til they have got the knack of it then you can up the amount of slips you give them depending on how much quarry is about

i am thinking of taking my pup out with lamp and throwing dummy.i think it will help to teach the dog to approach sitters, and then once competent take her out on her own after bunnys until shes mastered retreiving.

bring them out with an experianced dog and hold them on the lead for the fist couple of nights and let them watch. then give them a few slips with the other dog so they get a few squeses of the rabbit and build them up from ther. it always worked 4 me
