scothunter 12,609
Brown sold off pretty much our entire gold reserves to pay the yanks back a few years ago. One interesting point of fact too..... Over the last five years, our wonderful 'leader's' have given away in overseas aid roughly the same amount as our national dept. 18 BILLION to China alone!!!!!! WTF's all that about??? Cheers. I think thats wats going to start pissing people off if these cutts start affecting essential services and peoples jobs like you said 18 billion to china ffs And who will get the blame? Conservatives! Labour f**k us all over and Conservatives will get the blame for getting us out of this shit storm. Well thats fair isnt it? Trouble is, the population have very short memorys. ive got a long memory when it comes to the tories.remember the shit they caused oh and im not a labour supporter either.there all the same every last one of them.power hungry twats
PeakOil 352
All this talk about cutting the national debt WHY are we still spending millions in forighn aid??? Who is talking about cutting the national debt? There has been plenty of waffle about cutting the deficit, currently about £160 billion a year. In order to reduce the national debt you would need to eliminate the deficit by cutting £160 billion rather than cutting £6 billion. If the nation cut £161 billion it would eliminate the deficit but only reduce the national debt by £1 billion. I suspect politicians attempt to confuse the terms deficit and debt in the minds of us proles to try and kid us they are tackling the problem, when all they are in fact doing is adding to the problem at a slightly slower rate than the previous shower. poacher3161 1,766
Another thing they could start saving money on is stopping all these high court judgement appeals were recentley the convicted child killer roy whiteing has had his term of 50 years reduced to 40 before he can apply for parole [bANNED TEXT] in fact he should have been executed how much money do these hearings cost the public purse
mikeyblue 28
To cut the debt two things need to be done, neither of which anyone will like. Taxes up, national spending down. As mentioned benefits are a joke. Single parents allowance should be reduced, if you carnt afford or support kids, dont have them. I dont want to have to pay to bring up some other feckers kid, or feed drug and alchol habbits i can barely afford my own ale money for the weekend!!! We as a nation are a soft touch. The sooner the knobs in parlimant realise its time to get tough and throw Politically Coorect, and human rights out the window the better. Sadly this will not happen. Men like you and me will pay more tax and struggle on to eek a living, and the scum bags and smack heads will carry on leeching from society. Mikeyblue.

Dosser 52
lets go bankrupt is the uk a limited company lol Yes it is a plc, as is The house of commons All the political parties The police The judicial system All local councils We have been operating under bankruptcy since the great fire of London, wich exact date escapes me. Please dont think that they want to pay the debt off, if you had a nice little earner going (in this case a huge earner) you would want to keep it going, wouldnt you ? There are rather more sinister reasons why the debt was created (please dont think it happened by accident) Still, if we all draw the curtains and put on X Factor, im sure it will all go away.
