festa 206
hi lads well recently ive had a change of heart instead of going out in the dark and lamping for a few hours ive taken the lazy option started "camping" and am i pleased i stuck it out with the s510 it took some getting used to but the results are starting to show . my recent adventure started after the wife dragged me around the shops we got back about 2pm and by 3 i had an urge so off i went now wor kid decided to go camping (the other type ) you know tent and stuff he needs to get his priorities sorted lol anyhow i got to the permission and set up camp right in the middle of 4 set's and got a big fat NOTHING!! so after about 30mins i broke camp and went on the prowl as i came up to the brow i noticed number 1 sitting about 40 mtrs slowly i dropped the bipods and old mr bisley claimed his victim and my new knife (best 60 quid) ive ever spent thanks to scuba1 made very quick job of hocking it was like a hot knife cutting through butter . after that i bagged 2 squeelers one at 20mtrs another at 35mtrs so i had 3 in the bag just before 7pm so after a cupper i decided to give this camping thing another go the plan was get into position before it gets dark so i found a spot where i could see 4/5 sets i lased all for from where was 24,30 and 2 at 47 mtrs it wasnt long (about 30mins) when this rabbit popped up just passed the 47mtrs now 40mtrs is 1 mil dot hold over so 1.5 should be about right lol i love this gun lol it dropped and never even twitched so i just left it there i didnt want to break my cover then about 10 mins later the big buck came running straight at me and stopped about 20mtrs away couldnt believe it stupid rabbit ... after that followed 2 more squeelers so all in all i ended up with 7 im defo gonna have to get a dive bottle lol atb gary Quote Link to post

sibaldib 6
Nice write up and pictures Gary. Glad you're getting on well with the S510 after a few doubts. I see you've got a sensible silencer for it now. Whatever anyone says about them being quiet, I don't like shrouded barrels without a silencer, for hunting. Cheers Sib Quote Link to post
