Rats?

I'm going ratting on the weekend. Can I fees them to my ferrets. They already eat whole birds and rabbits but just thought rather than waste them, use them as food?

It can be done mate but i wouldn't my ferrets work there sock's off for me so i just feed them meat i'd eat myself rabbits ,squirrells ,pheasants and chickens etc

I wouldnt bother mate, by bringing them home to feed your ferrets, you are bringing the diseases with you. What with weils disease and so on, I would gather them up (gloved) at the place you go ratting and burn them.

i feed mine on rats when i get them and they are still ok

mine get them sometimes when I get them in the fen traps on the garden, (live in the sticks surrounded by fields) they will eat them ok but will leave the tails. Just wash your hands well when you have picked them up, ferrets will eat anything, I cant believe some say theirs are veggies and wont eat meat.

Why would you bother. There aint even enough meat on them for a decent sandwich so your as well disposing them.
