Urban Fox Control London 8
What are your favourite baits for trapping urban foxes? I use felix cat food, jam sandwiches, yesterday's fried chicken out of the bins of my customers and butchers scraps out of their bins. I also use Feralmone attractant that smells of fermented egg. Lovely...... Alot of urban foxes are 'trap-shy', especially if they have been trapped before and released by other pest control companies which of course is illegal. (The Abandonment Act 1960). comanche 3,259
A dead squirrel .Nice tough, grabbable bait that stays on the trigger hook well. I reckon the foxes get used to snatching casualties off the road -seem to work anyway. If the trap is tucked up behind some bins ,a punctured plastic bag of chicken bits, rabbit heads and /or fast food tied to the trigger usually gets a reaction. mattydski 560
Not sure about urban, but used chicken wings to great effect in the country. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
I've always had success with the rear end of rabbit, complete with tail, the older the better, normally around 2 weeks after thawing out, keep a few in the freezer, so I have a constant supply, Quote Link to post
Urban Fox Control London 8
Thanks for the comments. I went to one of my 'halal' butchers today and raided their bin.
