ferreter.al 22
dad took some of our dogs on a quick walk this afternoon while dinner was cooking.he came back in house 20mins later holding one of his cocker bitches and turns out she had been attacked by another dog on a filed near where we live.ripped her open all underneith her frount leg and made a real mess..he explained which dog it was and i knew streight away which dog it was.there is a old boy with a rescue handcock dog and its a [bANNED TEXT] twat.it had a pull at my bullx the other week but didnt bother him and iv seen it pulling on lead towards other dogs.anyways i jumped in car and drove down 2 field while my dad went to emergancy vet and managed to catch up with the guy who sharp fu*ked off after my dad booted his dog all over field to get it off his.he sed that he was gutted that the dog would do that but did not apoligise that his dog was off the lead miles away from where he was as the dog ran over to my dad.absolutly gutted, anyways i got his number and told him he will be picking up the bill.we are up at £400 at the min and shes just come out of the operation.under observation now.i have 6 dogs and keep them all undercontrol within reason.oh well. Ned Makim 116
if any dog attacked mine like that i would shoot it regardless of breed, value or its owners. Ha. Understand you're psyched up mate but UK hunters must be a soft lot if you think you'd get away with that. In Oz if you pulled a stunt like that the next bullet would be in you...Oz is a big country and shovels are cheap... If anyone's dog is attacked, especially by a bull type, don't try to seperate them by grabbing the collars etc. Grab the aggressive dog's back legs and lift both off the ground. Most dogs will let go to protect their flank from 'attack'. It is also impossible to get bitten from that postiion and hold. If they don't left go at the very least they aggressor cannot drive it's head and body into your dog and they can't thrash their heads about the same. If you have a second person with you and the dog won't let go grab a stick and slip it through the aggressor's collar and twist a few times. They can fight without air. To the original poster, sorry to hear of the drama and I hope the dog is batting on OK. Cheers. Edited January 18, 2010 by Ned Makim
