comanche 3,295
Great sentiments . Whatever some of us feel about the war does'nt change the fact that there are men and women from this country stuck far from home . Most people with friends and family in the forces know about the "Blueys" that can be sent to troops on active service. For those who don't, they are simply blue( surprise surprise)open envelopes that you write a letter or maybe get the kids to draw a picture on then fold and seal. Simply address it to your chosen recipient using their name ,number and overseas posting address and pop it in a post box. The Blueys are available for the asking at any post office and are also free to send . So if you or a friend or family member or maybe a neighbour has someone serving abroad find out their details and send em a few lines . I've a couple of friends in Afghanistan at the moment and they really enjoy letters from home even about the most mundane things. Well done Foxdropper

Irish Lurcher 1,013
Dont think the men and woman should be there, but it must be heart breaking for the wifes and husbands famlies left at home, so lets hope they see a peaceful christmas and return to their loved ones soon.
