BellySlater 15
Well guys n gals its taken me an age to get a permission and finally its happened. (I have been lucky in the fact that that I am able to shoot at the lake I fish but its only a couple of acres and I don't like to shoot when others are there for obvious reasons.) I live in Birmingham and work in Amersham I must have spoken to every farmer and land owner the length of the M40 :censored: No joy at all. I even considered getting rid of Kylie (HW100 - looks great, curves in the right places and feels just .....anyway ) So my Dad phone's tonight for a general chat and tosses into the conversation " are you still looking for somewhere to shoot ?" It turns out he has moved a couple of his horses to a new stable and the guy is well up for someone getting rid of the (and I quote) " thousands of rabbits, hundreds of squirrels, crows magpies and pigeons and the rats around the barns". I was in a state of shock I pulled myself together and asked the obvious question..."how much land is there?" "If you include the gallops and out buidings and rented farms I guess it's.............. 800 to 900 acres" :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: It just goes to show that it can be right under your nose all the time .....I'm off there on Thursday with the oldman to get the permission signed and show my insurance and and see the perimeters etc. As soon as I get some pictures i'll post them up...in the mean time i'm crackin' open the Damson Vodka and ordering a few more pellets on the tinterweb !!!!! :alcoholic: :alcoholic: Quote Link to post
