stealthy1 3,964
Let them get on with it, if they think your going to pick them up every time they encounter a rabbit they will either stop coming out of the tunnels when they see you, or become very nippy, I've got a skinny little jill thats a bit lairy, but I like her that way Quote Link to post
Quixote 9
Yep, I agree............as long as you know where she is, or can keep an eye on her, just let her get on with it Quote Link to post

Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
I laugh at the war dance...their just all excited... think of it like this....there normal heart rate is around the 300-400 beats per min They've smelt bunnys for the past hour after the walk or drive in. Sent down a tunnel, those earthy smells see their receptors going mad.... A bunny darts away, the ferret follows....current heart beat rate 589 b.p.m & rising... Bang !! a bunny purses up nicely in a net Out comes your ferret, it's like how & was that to you... Hearts probably hitting 750+bpm's.... any wonder its jumping for joy.... Neck your bunny & give it a well deserved rant on it.... It will soon settle. Daily handling of an hour plus or longer if you have the time will see it pay off in spades when in the field. Makes it all so much more easier for both you and your hard working fearless buddy Cheers, Shaun Quote Link to post
