my first stalk

Recommended Posts

we headed out this morning at about 6 30 to try for a muntjac. it was a cold morning and there was a slight mist which was annoying :censored: .

anyway 5 minutes in we spotted two on the corner of a wood about 300 yards away so we slowly stalked up with the wind in our favour. one of the does disappeared into the hedgerow but the other stayed around so i set up the bipod at about 120 yards away and took it with a hear/lung shot. it dropped on the spot and i breathed a sigh of relief. im still buzzing from it and there are currently two haunches roasting in the oven. :toast:

well the roast venison haunches last night were fantastic. i've had venison before but it has a really rich taste to it. very tasty. i guess it would have been even nicer if i'd let it hang for a couple of days but i had no choice as im off to uni today.

cheers for all the replies and yes im pretty sure i've got the bug. :D
