We owe it to our friend the fox even more to do it. IMO Don't know where you come from but what your asking is not legal in scotland unless killed by shotgun/ firearm or bird of prey. PS any farmer who gives you permission to work a terrier without access to any of a bove also commits an offence. Quote Link to post

Barrie 1,325
Just a quick question, is it legal to bolt foxes into nets, as i've got a cracking patterdale but have'nt got a shotgun yet, i thought i could bolt em into fox nets and then crack em on the head? The CORRECT answer is.... YES.... it's legal to bolt a fox into a net. NO.... it's NOT legal to "crack em on the head". This Hunting Act 2004 (schedule 1 paragraph 2) permits the use of a single dog below ground to flush out wild mammals solely for the purpose of preventing or reducing serious damage to game birds or wild birds being kept or preserved to be shot. The person must carry with them written permission and intend to shoot the wild mammal as soon as possible after it is flushed. See here for more detailed requirements under the Act.... (NWTF Hunting Act). Kindest Regards - Barrie Edited September 17, 2009 by Barrie Quote Link to post
