Macsen 4
Just wondering if theres any others on this forum who have a wife/girlfriend etc who are not into hunting. My mrs. although not an anti is very squeamish when it comes to the subject of letting the dogs loose on the rabbits (born and bred a city girl). Anyone else with a similar problem? J Darcy 5,871
I sometimes think that it is perhaps better to have a partner not "into" hunting, you know, Ignorance is Bliss. But on the other hand its good to have someone who is dog orientated, who can help out with things. Indeed, a second pair of hands can be a positive boon in certain scenarios, and if they readily don their Florence Nightingale apparel then alls the better....For many years i was rather close to a Veterinarian and, believe me, it was most handy and i learnt a great deal about dog management from her..... The fact of the matter is, if they tolerate your pastime, no matter what their own personal views, then you cannot ask for any more......JD

collie/grey 238
I've never had a boyfriend into hunting until last year when me and my current partner met, he never knew what i did with the dogs until we had been together a little while and now he loves it, if not more than me! I wouldn't want it any other way.
T78 4
my lass loves it all and loves eating what i catch.nothing puts her off,she often watches me dressing rabbits and venison. to give you an idea of what she's like.....she went lamping with me once...7 months pregnant! i sent her a pic of a 20lb catfish i caught once, she replied "can we eat it?" i said no and she replied "shame!" Rabbithunter 456
my ex would sometimes come for a look round the doors, but me woman now wont entertain the thought. She doesnt mind me going out lamping, and if she "did mind" then i wouldnt be with her. To be honest, i'd rather her stay home while i go lamping, bit of peach & quiet
