Stakes for Long netts

I have some long nets, but no stakes.

Were would i buy some of these from, or if i was to make some, what would they need to be like?

I just cut some hazel stakes. length from fingertips to your armpit.

You can cut them from hard woods mate or see james b on this site he can supply fibre glass ones i think ?

shouldn't the sticks have been cut last autumn when the sap has stopped, or can you do it now?

:11: YEAH they should have been but unless he wants to wait a year just cut an duse them now, i cut mine a few weeks before i needed them and just replace as needed, whatever time of year, to be honest i am still using most of the ones i cut 3 years ago when i got the longnet, they seemed to have dried out "on the job" so to speak :ph34r:

Magnum trap co do some good poles at about £3.50 each and the guys really helpful seem a real decent bloke.

Maybe the original but NOT the cheapest (and the the same pole)
