A good way to get them to eat raw fish is to starve them first and feed it to them bit by bit as a tit bit, they will soon get the flavor. my dogs eat any thing that good, a bit like myself . Guest chook Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 Got some mackerel today chopped head and tail and gutted . the dogs loved them You dont need to gut or head and tail them, just give them as is, mine eat the whole lot, freeze for a day or so, to kill anything that in them, then just give them to the dogs. i also every now and then get fish bits from either the fish stall at the supermarket or indoor market in town, most give them free as they just get binned otherwise, if you get to know the person, some will give you discounts on fish if they think its for the dogs, i got cod last time, 3 large peices half price.
